We have serial 3G modem connected over USB0 bus to AM3356. If I enable modem (pulling EN pin of modem) before USB drivers are loaded, modem is detected and ttyUSB* ports are listed. But if I enable the modem after USB drivers are loaded, USB is not detecting the modem. Once I turn off the modem through EN pin, I can not be able to get the modem back on the bus. Is there any known implementation limitation with USB ACM drivers? How can I address this issue?
Also I am not finding PPPD in the file system. I have taken release 07.00.00.00. Are there any instructions to get these required daemons/apps for 3G modem functionality. I enabled PPP support in Kernel.
