Hi HaTa. Yes it's possible to dynamically switch between Ethernet and Industrial communication based on EtherType as described in the TI design - http://www.ti.com/tool/TIDEP0032 Regards, Garrett

Hello, The SDK you are using is beyond our support window. It would be best to move to a later SDK. We publish results for lat_ctx in our performance guide which can be found here for the RT kernel: http://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-linux/esd/docs/06_00_00_07/linux/Release_Specific_Performance_Guide.html#rt-kernel-performance-guide What are you basing your expectations on? Or, why do you feel that this is not the expected performance? Thank you.

Unfortunately not. I am using ruby on rails, and locally run a puma server that renders the HTML5 code. On the other end I run matrix_browser to view the page. Everything looks like working fine and embedded in HTML video player plays the files. The only problem is that it looks like GPU acceleration does not kick in, and the heavy load is being done by the CPU, and the cpu usage can go up to 100%. I hope that makes more sense. All best, Kamil

Forum Post: RE: TDA3LA: TDA3 Ethernet Output Framerate Doesn't Follow Specified FramePeriodicity
Hi Cesar, Can you work with the Framework team to look into this issue? You can simply use our chirp params to try it on your side and switch out the rampEndTime between 30.52 and 24.29. To me, this is a hidden BUG in the framework or the AWR firmware code slowing down the frame rate. I searched the framework code for framePeriodicity to see which piece of code consumes this parameter. No where really in the framework code using this param other than setting it and send the structure over to the AWR during chirp param config. AWR firmware code is a black box to me as I don't have source code for it. So that tells me the AWR firmware is the one consuming this param and could also potentially altering it if it didn't like the setting for some reason. It's just my logical guess at this point. So I need you help to investigate. Thanks, --Khai

Forum Post: AM3354: ETH0 slave not found
Part Number: AM3354 Hi We have made our custom carrier board design with AM3354 SOC .We are integrating the LAN8701 ethernet PHY chipsets, one PHY is on SOM Module and other PHY is on the Carrier Board. We have build 2 versions of the kernel (3.2 and 4.4) eth0 is working perfectly with 3.2 kernel.but, when we upgrade the kernel to 4.4,We are facing the below issue. Here eth1 PHY is not mounted. /******************************************************************************************************************/ [ 9.886080] net eth0: initializing cpsw version 1.12 (0) [ 9.891690] cpsw 4a100000.ethernet: initialized cpsw ale version 1.4 [ 9.898423] cpsw 4a100000.ethernet: ALE Table size 1024 [ 9.906759] net eth0: phy "/ocp/ethernet@4a100000/mdio@4a101000/ethernet-phy@0" not found on slave 0 [ 10.105472] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready [ 10.404370] net eth1: initializing cpsw version 1.12 (0) [ 10.412853] net eth1: phy "/ocp/ethernet@4a100000/mdio@4a101000/ethernet-phy@1" not found on slave 1 [ 10.545381] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth1: link is not ready /****************************************************************************************************************/ Could you please give us some solution for this above issue. Forum Post: RE: TMDX654IDKEVM: UART not operating properly
Johnny, I double checked the EVM for any jumpers which might cause this issue, but I don't see any such jumpers. If you do a final check on the FTDI driver and the MCU UART still isn't working in UART Boot mode, then I'm starting to think this is an EVM hardware issue. In that case I'll loop in an EVM hardware expert. Regards, Frank

Forum Post: RE: DRA76P: DRA76: Simultaneous audio output on tlv320aic3106 sound cards
Chokri, I think that's as expected. When you start playback, McASP will be configured with those parameters. It's not allowed to start a second playback and change McASP parameters on the fly. From driver perspective, McASP is in use when first playback is started, so any other playback using the same McASP instance will return EBUSY error. Since all 3 codecs are connected to the same McASP interface, what is possible is to have a single PCM device that supports 6-channel. So McASP gets configured to 6-channels and codecs listen to specific TDM slots, (i.e. codec a -> slots 0 and 1, codec b -> slots 2 and 3, codec c -> slots 4 and 5). Obviously, creating the 6-channel stream from 3 stereo streams is a data massaging that an application in userspace has to do. Could you please share the sound card driver that you're using (compatible = "ti,dra7xx-jamr3-multicodec-evm")? I'd like to see how multicodec is being used. Also please share the kernel version you're using.
