Miroslav,

Here is more details setup information to help you analyse my issues;

I want to enable IP over USB between 2 Sitaras that are running ti-sdk-am335x-evm-06.00.00.00 (linux ver 3.2)

I read some instructions from TI websites on the subject but have not found any good straight forward instructions to help me achieve this.

I have tried many combinations of things and not getting where I wanted, so I want to check with you if you could provide more support on this.

 1-     I have 2 Sitara EVM boards (am335x) connected to a Linux Ubuntu machine via a network switch through their Ethernet ports and I have configs each ethernet connection on both EVMs.

2-     I have also connected the EVM to each other with a USB CABLE: Type USB-standard-A-plug TO USB-Micro-B-plug.

3-     I have established Ethernet communication with the linux machine from each EVM and I can access the EVMs with terminal consoles from the Linux Ubuntu machine.

4-     From the consoles, I had successfully ping one board from the other through their ethernet IP connection(“ping <dest_IP_addr>”).

5-     Then, from the command line in the consoles, I was able to create/config usb0 network interface with IP addresses on each EVM (I have the g_ether, the linux gadget driver for IP over USB running on each EVM)

6-     My objective here in this test is for example to un-plug EVM2 from the ethernet connection(from the switch), then ping EVM2 from EVM1(console runnning from Ubuntu) through the USB IP interface.

So, far it does not work and I need help there.

I might be missing some configurations or is it actually possible to achieve this functionality with Sitara boards?
